Originally a LHD car and sold through Jaguar Cars, New York, this lovely example has been brought back to the UK and converted to RHD. A full body-off restoration was started in the USA some years ago by the previous long term owner who unfortunately passed away, leaving the car partially completed. Purchased by a UK collector in 2021, the restoration was completed in 2023 to a very high standard as evidenced by the photographs. The freshly retrimmed red interior compliments the black bodywork and has been carried out to a similar high standard of finish.
Manufactured March 1956 and despatched to New York in April 1956, this is an all matching number car with its original restored engine and gearbox.
Although the car has done very little mileage since completion, it drives and handles very well, the engine is strong but has yet to be run in and the overdrive gearbox performs as expected.

Complete with Heritage certificate and a good history file, this is a great example of Jaguar’s finest sports car of the 50s.
